Where Has September Gone?

Firstly, I think I need to start this month’s blog with a little apology… sorry it’s late!

September seems to have arrived, taken one look at the diary and decided to fly past at a ridiculous speed. There has been so much going on here at Not Just Brides that sitting down to write this month’s blog has kept slipping further and further down my list.

But I’m finally here, cup of tea in hand, and I thought I’d give you a little catch-up on what’s been happening.

5 Days, 5 Offers… What a Week!

One of the biggest things keeping us busy recently was putting together our 5 Days, 5 Offers promotion.

It sounded simple when we first came up with the idea – one different offer every day for five days. Easy, right?

Well… perhaps not quite! 😂

There was a lot going on behind the scenes getting everything organised, deciding what we wanted to do each day and making sure there was something for different parts of the boutique.

But seeing everyone getting involved, commenting, sharing and watching each day to see what the next offer would be made all the work worthwhile.

Thank you so much to everyone who joined in and supported it.

And We’re Not Finished Yet…

I probably shouldn’t say too much just yet, but there are plenty more ideas in the pipeline.

Those who know me will know that I'm rarely short of ideas, and sometimes one idea quickly turns into another three!

We want to keep trying different things, having a bit of fun and giving people reasons to keep checking in with us – whether you're planning a wedding, thinking ahead to prom, sorting suits for a special occasion or simply following along with what we're getting up to.

Some things will be offers, some will be events and some might be something completely different.

You'll just have to keep watching!

Wedding Season Isn't Slowing Down

While all of that has been happening, wedding season has continued around us.

We've had brides coming through the doors for appointments, fittings and collections, and there is still something incredibly special about seeing everything finally come together.

You can spend months talking about a wedding date that feels ages away and then suddenly you're standing in the boutique having your final fitting and saying, "I can't believe it's nearly here!"

Those are the moments I love.

Every bride's journey is different. Some know exactly what they want before they walk through the door, while others arrive having absolutely no idea – and that's completely fine.

Sometimes the dress you never imagined yourself wearing ends up being the one.

A Change of Season

September also feels like one of those lovely crossover months.

We're still hearing about summer weddings and seeing photographs from couples who have recently celebrated their big day, while at the same time we're starting to look towards autumn, winter and everything that comes with the next few months.

And dare I say it… Christmas isn't actually that far away!

I know, I know. I'll leave that one there for now.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Not Just Brides, whether you've visited the boutique, recommended us to somebody, shared one of our posts, left a comment or simply followed what we're doing.

Running a small independent business means those little things genuinely matter.

September might have been slightly chaotic, and this blog might have arrived a little later than planned, but it's been another month full of lovely people, exciting ideas and plenty happening behind the scenes.

And judging by what's currently in the pipeline…

October might be even busier!
